Docomomo UK appoints Keith Williams and Emma Dent Coad as trustees

Docomomo UK is delighted to announce the appointment of Keith Williams and Emma Dent Coad to our board of trustees.

Keith is the founder and director of design at Keith Williams Architects. The international profile of Keith’s practice supports Docomomo’s global perspective, and he brings a wealth of experience as a leading architect for the design of arts buildings including museums, art galleries, libraries and buildings for music and the performing arts. A passionate advocate for the architecture of the Modern Movement,  he is currently working on the careful upgrade of the Sir Basil Spence designed Grade II* listed 1960s Library at the University of Sussex.

Emma is a long time member of Docomomo UK, and in the past, editor of our newsletter. She is the former MP for Kensington, and an active Grenfell campaigner.

Keith and Emma’s appointments complete a reinvigoration of Docomomo UK’s governance, with renowned public sector architect Kate Macintosh recently becoming a trustee, joining existing trustee Peter Inskip. We would like to express our gratitude to Ellis Woodman and Tony Fretton for their longstanding support for Docomomo UK, who have now stood down as trustees. Meanwhile, overseeing the organisation’s day to day activities, Rob Loader has taken on the role of Chair of the Working Party.
